Over the past year since the release of CrystalDiskMark 7, we have refined Project Priscilla, the common UI library for CrystalDiskMark and CrystalDiskInfo, and have expanded the basic functions, such as transparency support for edit boxes and combo boxes, 16-bit color support, Per-Monitor DPIv2 support, and Windows 10 dark mode support using a private API. Trust us, if you do not own an SSD, you need to own this one.In CrystalDiskMark 7, we were unable to implement the edit box transparency feature inevitably, and we had to provide a dedicated window & edit box to enter comments, which was very disappointing. SSDs will be able to perform much better than HDDs as SSDs do not have to physically move stuff around to access data. The test of CrystalDiskMark 4K is not as exacting as the QD 32 test. If you keep over the MB/s, then you can view the IOPS result. For whatever reason, I/O Operations Per Second (IOPS) is not showed at all.
There are lots of people who said that CrystalDiskMark’s 512K test seems kind of redundant to them. In fact, the results were close to the sequential tests and we feel that the 4K test is the most useful test to run. As we explain before that CrystalDiskMark sequential test is constantly the ones with the highest results. So, how about a low CrystalDiskMark score? Let us discuss it now.
